We're assuming the batteries in the TX are good and the pack in the rig are charged?
Is there an on/off switch on the ESC?

yes they are brand new, and the battery pack is charged. the on off switch was cut and soldered together.

Make sure the ESC & servo wires are correctly installed into the RX, usually the dark wire (black or ?) is towards the outside edge.
What ESC?
Do any lights come on? If so, I would rebind the RX to the TX (I know you already did that...).

Is this the radio??... http://etronix-rc.com/manuals/ET1105.pdf

If nothing else works, contact the seller.
