I agree. I would also prefer to have steering and I think most would prefer to have steering too. This set up is not for everyone. I already bought a Futaba 4PL for my next build. So this won't be an issue on my next build. However, I do plan on making a switch to be able to select the front winch or rear winch, since I mostly likely won't be using both winches at the same time.

This setup I described just gives people another option.

I made a custom "Y" harness that I used to switch between my steering and winch for a two channel radio. The same "Y" harness can work to switch between a front winch and rear winch.

I have instructions on how to make a custom "Y" harness. Click here.
The instructions start on page 15, post # 141.

Post up or PM me if you have any questions.

I just ordered a TZI World Beefy Winch and a KMS K3 extreme winch built from a Hitec HS 7954SH servo.

I wanted a Quicksand winch, but there's no telling when Neil will start making them again.
