Default sensored acting like sensorless

Hello I have a used MMP I just got. I have a tekin redline 13.5t motor attached. I am running a cc Bec. Spektrum RX & tx and savox servo. My gearing is 13t pinion, 60t spur. Ok with the specs out of the way here is my problem. My sensored stuff is acting like a sensor less in the fact that it glitches and cogs at low rpm. I have tried 2 sensored motors one brand new (speed passion 17.5t sensored) and my tekin. Both did the same thing. Can someone please explain what could be going on? Thanks for looking.

Make sure the sensor wire snaps in all the way on the MMP. Check that the motor wires are connected properly with ABC. Also you said the MMP is used, do you have a castle link to program the MMP or check the settings?

1. You can check the MMP programming using your radio.
It should be set to "SMART" or "sensored only". (See the manual.)

2. Try using a different sensor cable.
Sensor cables are weak and a typical source of problems.

3. Do get a CastleLink adapter. Hook the MMP to a computer and try a different firmware. That's what fixed my problem, similar to yours.

I'm running the same ESC/Motor combo and I have had two different situations where my motor would cog....

1) Sensor wire kept popping out of the ESC... Fixed by inserting sensor connector into ESC slot, and gently pressing it into the ESC with a flathead screwdriver. You should hear and feel a small click. My sensor wire has not since come disconnected.

2) The male end of the "B" wire coming from the motor was a little loose, causing insane cogging. Fixed by carefully inserting a razor blade in between the 4 pie shaped (viewed from the end of the male connector) tabs, thus spreading them out, creating a tighter fit into the female wire coming from the MMP. So make sure all of your motor connections fit nice and tight. If they are too loose, it seems to cause problems.

I have mine set to Low start and it is ballistic in my Twin Hammers with the power curve I set up.... almost a right angle on the graph . I may try Medium start power for poops and giggles. I originally had it on high start power and it would cog badly, I thought it was the power that was causing the cogging but have since realized that it was the sensor wire popping out.
