| Can a bec make a motor hot?
I read in the tekin manual that u shouldn't run a bec over 3 amps and 6 volts for the fxr pro. Now if I rem I have my cc bec set at 10 amp 6 volts. Now can this mess with my motor getting so hot it starts smoking and the esc temp sky rocket now I wired the bec the way that castle says so idk what to do lol. sounds more like a gearing issue. I have all my CC BEC's set between 6.5 & 6.9 and nothing ever gets hot.

Sounds like wrong gearing yes, reduce pinion size first No matter the Amps a bec can deliver, the peripherals like servos or esc will only draw what they need I think Tekin just says that their internal bec deliver 6v 3A max |

I have never heard of a bec making a motor run hot I would also have to say its gearing or possibly your drive train is binding somewhere

Most the time it is due to gearing or alot of the time over look is running to much timing in motor |
