help to chose the right servo for cc- 01

Building my first çc-01, an Umimog, I found that my servo, a Hitec with metal gears doesn't fit the stock servo saver, because Tamiya give only Futaba and Sanwa adapters,
I should use the Hitec arm in place but without the saver. At ths point I decided to buy a new servo. How powerful must be a servo to steer a cc01? My Hitec is a 5, 5 kg torque

I normally use Kimbrough Servo Gear Saver Hitec for all my non-crawler RCs.

Your local hobby shop should carry it, just make sure it is the red one, not white. (Hitec = red, Futaba = white).

You'll probably want a decent amount of grunt behind it - the cc01 has rather inefficient steering and you'll likely be pushing it hard sometimes. Don't know that you'll need a servo saver, though, unless you're planning on running faster or bashing.

For a cc-01, skip the servo saver. If you are worried about stripping out the servo, make sure to use a plastic/nylon servo horn. They will allow for some flex in the driveline, and may help your servo last longer. This makes the weak point the horn and not your servo itself, so it should break before the servo strips. if you go this route, make sure to pick up a few horns so you never get stuck on the trail.

If you want to upgrade and have the money, Most guys (myself included) would recommend a stronger servo with an aluminum or steel horn. The HItec HS-5646WP is a great digital servo, offering 12.9 kg/cm at 7.4v in a waterproof package
