Default New Ridgecrest Electronics Setup

I see the thread about needing an external BEC - is that similar to running a failsafe in a nitro? Do I need any other electronic devices to insure my electronics investment?

A Castle link would be helpful. You can use it to program the Axial ESC's and set the voltage in the CC BEC.

I've been meaning to ask about that...I'm one of those Mac users, and while I know how to get castle link to run on my Mac, I really don't want to go through the trouble of it just for castle link.

I've seen "programming cards" which I don't understand. Could one of these be used in place of castle link?

The field programmer will do most of the functions of the castle link. There are some functions that you can't do like upgrading firmware.

Any recommendations for a field programmer?
