Hakko 936 Clone Is anyone using this from Hobby King? Soldering Station with Adjustable Heat Range (USA Warehouse) Reviews look favorable, but I'd need to buy the "900" series tips from ebay for another 5 - 10. I don't do a bunch of soldering but when I had to do some for my new battery pack, my current iron hardly got the job done. Also, is Hobby King reputable? |
Re: Hakko 936 Clone Here read through this: hakko 936 knock off I just bought one and i like it, havnt had it for very long so i cant say anything about the long term of it, but i think for the price it is, its a great soldering station "thumbsup" |
I'll read that. I thought I saw that thread somewhere before but couldn't find it. Seems like a decent iron for light hobby use...better than what you can get in a hardware store. |
Re: Hakko 936 Clone Yeah i like it, soldered 4mm bullets alot easier then with a soldering gun |
Re: Hakko 936 Clone Mine just came in the mail today. My pack of assorted tips is still on the slow boat from China. The iron itself looks good though. |

Re: Hakko 936 Clone i was looking at these tips, im pretty sure they are the right ones.. 10pcs Set for Hakko 907 936 ESD Handle Station High Quality Soldering Solder Tip | eBay |
Re: Hakko 936 Clone I have had it for a few months and I like it. Probably used it about a dozen times. If set hot you have to clean the tip often, I just use the sponge provided and a little tip cleaner tin I think I got at radio shit. I bought the 10 pack of misc tips off ebay from a USA seller the same day I ordered the iron for the HK usa warehouse and the tips were here before the iron. The really skinny one works well for soldering servo leads and worked well for fixing the wiring on my friends little Blade helichopper with super tiny wires. I would buy it again. |
