| Bulldog winch turning on when steering alot
SCX10, Spectrum DX3e 3channel (3rd as winch control in,off,out) Bulldog rc winch & control run to reciever, winch power line to seperate 2c lipo. if i wiggle left / right a bunch on steering servo - suddenly the winch will turn on for a long second ??? going on, ? how to prevent (i can wire up a switch on rig to turn on winch power when needed - but would rather not) |

From what I can tell, that winch controller has a very narrow "dead zone" where the winch will stop. I really think that all they use is a servo circuit to run the winch as it doesn't like to stop at all. Because this circuit is unstable, any change in the voltage it sees will upset it and make it move the winch motor. Yes, a power switch in line would fix you up. Maybe consider one of my winch controllers as an alternative. They don't drift / creep on you. The link is in my sig. Last edited by heyok; 04-11-2013 at 10:39 AM. |

I highly reccommend the Heyok 4amp relay winch controller on all my winch kits ,One of the many features is the brake ,It will hold the rig on a steep incline.,,,KMS,,,,,,,
