| Fxr & 35t tekin bec question
I know this is a noob question but I'm thinking about getting this set up and I've heard talk about if running 3s you need a external bec, but I'll only be running 2s do I still need a bec? I'm running brushless in my other rigs and I don't run a bec so I'm still new to the thought of a bec

BECs are always a good idea in an off road rig, especially brushed ones where motor efficiency is much lower than brushless. Any decent BEC will do: Castle, Novak, etc will all do the trick. Short of a BEC, a glitch buster cap plugged into the receiver will work for lighter duty, like trail use. |

| Re: FXR & 35T Tekin BEC question
A lot depends on the servo, if under ~200inoz you should be OK with no external BEC. If over ~200inoz, you should look at an external BEC. Most other wheeled rigs use lower torque output servos, thus no issues. If you need an external BEC, I suggest the 10A Castle Creations BEC. If your servo can handle it, you can run power wires direct from the pack to the servo (assuming 2S LiPO). |
