Help me decide on a new tx/rx

I am looking to get a new tx/rx and have been looking at the futaba 3pl and the flysky gt3b and gt3c. When it comes to the hacking and fimware stuff with the gt3b and the gt3c I am lost though. I just need a good radio that will do the throttle and steering of course and maybe a winch if I decide to add one. This is going on my new waterproof rig I am building and will also be used as one for my brother or gf if one of them go with me so I am trying to stay around $100 or less but want a good radio with end points and such. Please help me out on what to get and the pros and cons of each. If there is something better lmk about it. Thanks

For your price range, you are looking at almost any Futaba radio....used.

You can do a hacked GT3B/GT3C for under $100 new.

I run a Futaba 3PM-x, my son runs a Futaba 4PL. Great radios, but can get pricey quickly.

Either is about all I would recommend. For whatever it's worth.

I got my gt3b hacked with every upgrade and an extra 8ch Rx for about $130, shipped. Money well spent! Shoulda bought a few Rx's though. Having a hard time finding them, now.

I have a 4pl that I know I like but have been seeing them go used for about what I can get a new one for and like the other guy posted to get the gt3b or gt3c I am looking about $130. I have had a couple of 3pm-x offered but they want to much for them used one of them said 180. I think after alot of research today that I am going to order a new 3pl since I can get it for $100 shipped and it should do what I need and I am hoping it will be as good as my 4pl has been. If anybody knows something different please lmk quickly. I am going to order it in the next couple of hrs.
