novak xrs sport reversible for crawling

i just bought a wraith and the esc in it is a novak xrs sport reversible. is this esc ok for slow crawling? i plan on slowing the wraith down a bit to make it a better crawler im thinking a 35t or a 55t and im also gonna play with the gears till i get a setup i like. im asking this question cause i need to buy batteries and i have no clue what to get. so stay with the current esc and get batteries for it or ditch the esc and get something more geared towards my style. if so what do ya thing i should buy?

I have one of those, and used it for many years. There's no lipo cut off, if that matters to you. The built in BEC is weak, but will work decently if your servo is modest in its power. It's a double pump reverse, and that means you have brakes also, but no drag brake, which can be fun in my opinion. Makes you drive more than rely on electronics...

That being said, there's better options out there now that equal and better the XRS.

man i gave myself a headache. ive been reading posts and searching and there are alot of choices for esc , motor , battery and chargers. can someone jus tell me what to go buy? lol .... i have a wraith and i wanna crawl slow but still be able go fast enuff to do some hills. i dont need top of the line stuff but i dont want junk.
