| Waterproofing a receiver
Ever since I saw a picture of the Twin Hammers insides, I thought that the way the receiver appeared to be waterproofed looked like a great idea. Here is my take on it using a six channel receiver from Hobby King that is compatible with my GT3B I used seven short servo extensions and some Plasti Dip to seal around the connectors, the antenna opening and the screws. Cheers, Al |

We have a guy in our club that does this and it's worked great for him for a long time now.

| Re: Waterproofing a receiver Not sure where I found the ones I used on my receiver. Here is a link to some servo extensions. These look really long though. https://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor...dProduct=10412 Quote:

I use the MG conformal coating, but the silicone version as recommended by JRH in the waterproofing thread. I've had a servo in a glass of water now for almost two weeks with nothing else done to it but coating the board and pot with it, didn't even put the or rings back in the case, still going strong. The silicone stuff is also recommended for high heat applications for things like ESC's as well.
