Well changed it out for a 1/4 wat. Works for now. Fried my ESC so can't test it very well. Being a cheap ace didn't pay this time. The one I had in there must have been way to small. |

I have been trying really hard to get this to work, but it seems I am doing something wrong. Im trying to do the stage 1 modification with the 3 way switch. I want to use this so I can shift all 3 gears on the high lift So far I can get the switch to move the servo for 1st and 2nd gear...but when I flick the switch all the way up from the middle position... I get nothing? Heres what I have: Last edited by Clodzilla; 04-02-2007 at 09:32 PM. |

I think you have it wired right from what I can tell. You should measure 0V, ~2.5V, and 5V in the three positions at the switch center post. Jay |

Ok I checked the volts at the center hole where the original switch was located and the volts look good...0v-2.5v-5v Should the volts read 2.5v when the switch is in middle? because that is what I have got. Also should the servo move when the switch is flicked from it 2.5v center positon to the zero volt bottom position? Mine does not move. Thanks |

Ok I think I figured it out! I had messed with the setting in my radio before the mod. So I put all the AUX settings back to a default position and now it works! Thanks for the help and such an awsome mod :-P

Correct....should be 2.5V in center position. Jay

What would it take to add EPA's for digital rear steer servos?

Yes. We're using the switch to provide some voltage level (zero to 5V) to the microcontroller. So, you can use a 2-position, 3-position, 15-position rotary switch, or a potentimeter (infinite number of positions) to provide the various voltages. It's just with the switches you need to provide resistors to set the voltages. Jay |

Hey Jay, One more stupid Q. When you remove the 10k Resistor do I need to bridge the gap to complete the circuit? May have covered it somewhere but I read everything pretty close, but prolly missed it.. And it really doesn't matter if I am using the AM version, right?? Thanx!! Just remove the 10k - don't bridge the gap. I have not been inside an AM one, but I'd bet they're designed the same. Jay

Thank you Jay!! I jumped off the bridge and did it!! I did not remove the 10k, yet. Everything seems to work well, I will go back in to remove the 10k and to set the trim pot so it accessible fom outside the case. Thank you for the write up!! I will get those pics of the Tranny mounted to you soon!! Works very well!! and if testing plays out well this weekend at our Comp I will post a build thread on the dig.. oh BTW, this does work on the AM version!! |

heres some pics: open hole i drilled to close to the throttle trigger my stealth pot mount, melted the pot case and the transmitter body back of transmitter thanks for this roktoy! heres everything i used: 1x 10k ohm 1/2 watt 1x 100k ohm trim potentiometer 1x SPDT center off micro and bulk 22 guage wire. its really nice how it works its kind of a trip Last edited by Panchira!; 02-14-2008 at 10:17 PM. |

I'm thinking 3 position for use with the punk rc rear steer controller. Or just convert my Super 8 to 2.4ghz and run with that. Dig would be nice in addition to rear steer.

Question from a newbie and someone not to good with electrical stuff. Is it possible to wire this up for 3 position dig setup and use two momentary push buttons to achieve free wheel and locked rear with the servo? If there is what would the schematic look like for that setup? I am thinking that would be easier to use for dig than a toggle switch
