Default Timubk2 power-on delay?

Hey guys, I just installed the Novake Timbuk2 on my wraith. It ran fine for about an hour while I was programming it. A few burns around the back yard then I shut it off. I tried to turn it back on, nothing. The power switch was on for about 20 seconds before anything powered up. Any ideas?

Temp was 135F. I'm running the novak ballistic 13.5T with a 20/87 setup. Once I flip the switch and let it sit a while it turns on and runs fine. Didn't do that initially.

Just an update: Turns out the lipo I was using has a bad cell. Used a new lipo. Works great. I guess I should get in the habit of checking and balancing my cells more often.

Usually most Novak systems have a power up smoke delay. Once you add power, the smoke comes within minutes.

Haha. I hope that's not the case. Jut ran it for about 3 hours. Love it so far. I've read good and bad reviews on Novak. I've never ran their products personally. But I figured I'd give em a shot.

I ran Novak in my SC truck. I guess when the esc and motor fried after .0001 packs, and Novak refused to cover it because the case was cracked ( I had to pry it out and the bottom plastic cracked, not that the bottom plastic has anything to do with the burned out top) I will get my moneys worth by letting everyone I ever encounter ever know how poor Novak's products and customer service are.

The guy at my LHS shop pretty much told me the same thing. (Even though he runs novak in 2 of his rigs) Says some are good, some are bad. Costumer service may as well be non existent.

In this hobby how the warranty is handled is everything. On the electronics side, Castle covers most everything, had the best exchange program even if it is out of time, just takes a while to get your stuff back.

Tekin warranty is a little short for me. 120 days is just not enough, especially when I order parts for a build and it might be 30 days before they get used. I will say when they are covered, the return is fast.

Novak, you would have better luck sacrificing a chicken over top of your guaranteed to catch on fire parts and hope they reincarnate themselves.

And lastly Hitec. Probably the best large company I have dealt with. Send in your broken shit, and they fix it and send it back. Usually with the quickness.

On this website, most of the vendors are OK. As long as they took their meds and you get the right personality, your covered. If not, who knows, but for the most part everyone stands behind the parts they sell here.
