Don't risk it, ever. Always unplug your stuff.

Plus once you add a BEC you will need to unplug the battery every time.

Most of these ESCs with power switches are still drawing power, even with the switch off. So, it's much safer to unplug them, especially with LiPo batteries.

Make it become a habit to always unplug your lipo batteries. Never leave them plugged in if not in use.

Respect lipos and they won't hurt you. Never leave them connected if they aren't being directly charged or discharged.

The switches get removed from all my escs. There is no point in them even being there.

If you want to leave the pack in and connected, the best bet is to do an "interrupter" between the battery & the ESC. I believe John Holmes has a diagram in one of the stickies. No, don't just use the ESC on/off switch. |

My suggestion is to cut the switch off. Jumper the wires, solder, shrink-wrap. Use the switch to power LEDs on/off or something.

| X2 on cutting switch, that way you never make the mistake or forget to unplug and chance ruining a battery, unless your just dead set on having a switch, I say chop it also!! As stated In the other post, I cut off all my switches just to be on the safe side!
