Default rewiring my esc

I'm wanting to switch my battery tray to the front of my ridgecrest but the ESC wires are too short can I rewire them with regular wire and butt connectors?

Yes, but I wouldn't.

I would get the same size wire (as already on the ESC), but get "Deans wet noodle" which is very flexible with a silicone insulation.
Then, solder the wire together to lengthen, don't use but splices. They look tacky, make a stiff area and may have issues down the road.

Yea good point on tackyness. But it is jus regular wire. If so I'll jus solder then heat shrink it. Kinda look lil more factory.

The preferred option would be to get some good wire, similar to what you have in there now and solder in the extra length, or better yet, replace the entire length from ESC to battery. If you can't do this, see if someone at your hobby shop will help out. Maybe someone else in the area runs RC as well?

Butt connectors are an easy (hack) way to get the job done, but provide much more resistance than a proper job and will degrade your performance and battery life. I've seen it done too many times and it's wrong every time.
