Default Question about rechargable transmitter batteries.

I am planning on picking up a futaba 4pl. I will most likely run 1900mah 2s LiFe batteries. I was just wondering how your supposed to treat them? Do I charge them every time before I go out? Do I store them at a certain voltage like Lipo batteries? Or do I simple charge it up plug it in and play until it dies then charge it again?

Life batteries don't really need to sit at storage voltage. They last a while between charges, so it's your choice to either do some testing to see exactly how long you can go between charges, or just top it off before you head out.

I run lipos in the Tx's, and have for couple years. Basically charge, then run them down to 11.0 volts, then recharge. I never do anything special. Highly recommended upgrade over Nimh for all the same reasons as running lipos in the car/truck.

Ran them down to 10.5 or so one time, then went to run another pack in the truck, radio was beeping constantly. Looked down again, and the voltage was down to 9.0 or something and falling rapidly. Didn't take long at all, just a few minutes. Moral of the story is don't go below the nominal voltage on lipos at low discharge rates, cause there ain't much left....
