When to Use CC BEC vs. Glitch Buster?

So when it comes to electronics it's a freaking miracle that I even know half the things I do know lol.

I understand the CC BEC and how it works and also the benefit of program-ability for higher end servos beyond 6.0V.

Now and then I use Novak's Glitch Buster on my less power hungry servos like my Savox 1251MG which I run on my SC10B.

So when do I use which Novak Glitch buster versus CC BEC?

I also feel more comfortable that the CC BEC splices into ESC.

Total noob question lol. I apologize.

+1.

Glitch busters are a "band-aid" (in my eyes....FWIW) vs. an external BEC as a fix.
If you're over ~200inoz servo output, get an external BEC and be fine.

A "glitch buster" can help "fix" certain issues, but the better fix is to get:

Better batteries
Better connectors
Better solder joints

Like the rest of Novaks products, if you need to burn something down, or to fill up your trash can, a glitch buster is great. In all other situations, the castle BEC is it. I run one in every single RC anything I have.

X2 on CCBEC... It's inexpensive; just go ahead and do it right the first time!

Wow...I always thought CC BEC's were overkill for a little metal gear servo for a lightweight 1/10 2wd buggy. Always figured we wanted CC BEC's on our rigs since that way we get the most out of our servos at all times.

No mater what your using it in it will take some load away from your ESC and help it run cooler. Thus extending its life. I use them in everything to!

With the buggy you would still want the extra speed that higher voltage would provide even if torque isn't such a concern. 7+ volts really wakes a servo up.
