| Strange cc-mm problem ?
I have an old mm probebly 5 years old that i updated the firmware to the new 1.39 and programed these settings in to it to use it to power an axi 2212-34 outrunner in a traxxas 1/16 summit geared 16/55t :timeing -high Start power high Throttle curve bumped up in the beginning to help eliminate cogging No punchcontroll These settings worked great sometimes but out of the blue the motor would start cogging and chakeing back and forth or starting backwards with forward throttle input was applied ! What can cause this ? This happened even with the wheels off the ground and no binding in the transmission ! Now i,ve reset all settings and put the vxl inrunner back in the truck and everything works like normal........ I love outrunners and would realy like to use them in cars ! Is there a etter car esc fore this ? I tried a sidewinder 1 with a 35/48- 840kv outrunner in my hsp ax10 clone with no poblems ecept for a "jump start" feeling from standstill. |

Sound like the motor might have a winding that is going bad.

For a brushed motor, most of us use firmware version 1.28 which works well for crawling. Some of the newer firmwares have "crawler related" issues. I would try to back-date the firmware. |

I think the high start power puts more load on the battery, so if your using a small low c battery that could be a problem. I would put the timing to stock, you really do not need any timing in crawling. It will just add heat in the long run. I would also run the throttle curve linear, adding a hump in the beginning just makes it leap forward. without a sensor there is going to be cogging. The best you can do is gear it down to help, but a sensored motor will fix it.

I would backdate the firmware to 1.32. See if this helps your problem. I think the new one is a beta (test) version anyway and I won't run anything that has to do with testing something I paid for. Lol |
