| Question about Traxxas Slash (not a crawler)
sorry this is not about a crawler but i do have a question about my 1/10 slash. i bout this truck from a friend for $50. but the antenna is broke with the wire just dangling. when i drive it it will randomly start turning and going back and forth, then stop, then do it again. i was wondering if this is my remote, i need a new receiver, or just fix my antenna? and where do i buy that? Thanks (i know there is a forum for traxxas rc but i dont really like the people on it)

I don't use much stock Traxxas stuff, but I'm sure you can order just the antenna for the RX. Find the model number of the receiver, then do a Google search on "[receiver model] antenna" and you should be on your way.

1-Sounds like the issue is with the RX antenna, correct? 2-Is this a 2.4ghz radio? If the wire is still connected, but the outer casing is broken, make sure the internal wires are not shorting to each other, or to other bits on the rig. You should be good to go. If the issue is the TX, you may be able to fix it (like the RX), but do it SOON! If you don't have enough load on the TX (load = antenna) you WILL blow the output section on the TX. That gets expensive. |
