Default Novak M2 Short problem.

I have a Novak M2 dig motor combo that came with my Axial XR10.
Problem I have is that when I connected the battery it shorted and melted the battery wires.
I have made sure that positive is going to positive and so on.

Any ideas on what I could check,do etc?
I`m a real novice on electronics so any help would be appreciated.

Phil.

Always stinks to have stuff not working right. My best advise to give u, is ditch all the Novak stuff if you can afford to upgrade..
That's just my $.02
Tons of people will tell you the same thing!
Their electronics are good for paper weights! ;)
Just my honest opinion

Did you possibly plug the battery into the ESC output?? This is a problem, the ESC is dead.

While some hate Novak, I really like their ESC's......for anything BUT crawlers. I have many Novak ESC's, some close to 30 years old and they work fine.

I did have a M2 Dig, I have since sold it and went dual ESC's.

At this point, you need to fill us in a bit more, but I'm guessing you have a dead ESC.

Thanks all.
I decided to bite the bullet and order 2 CC sidewinders and 2 HH 35T crawler motors.
That should fix the problem.
