| Tekin FX-R with TorqueMaster Sport 540 13t for Twin Hammers
I bought a Holmes hobbies TorqueMaster Sport 540 13t for my Twin Hammers. Was running this with my stock ESC on 2S Lipos. After about a pack and a half (45 mins) or so the stock ESC is toast. Set up ran great though and I am very happy with the torque/speed of this motor and really am not looking for much more performance then this for my Twin Hammers. The question I have is I have been looking at brushed ESC'S and it is more then I want to spend but would the Tekin FX-R work well or? Have found them for as low as $86.00 or so new on the bay. I plan on staying 2S Lipo powered and really don't want to switch to brushless at this point and time, mainly money issue and could only really afford to do a sensorless/cheaper system on this as of now. Thanks for the help/suggestions, David. |

The FXR is a proven platform and would work good as long as you run 2s(3s/35T)and brushed motor.... Check out the Mamba Max Pro....a little more($100)and up to 6s and brushless capable! The Holmes BRXL is another great brushed ESC! |
