Default Need help for Axialfest!!!

My hitec 225 mini servo I use for my 2 speed tranny keeps frying.

Here's what I've got.

Futaba 4pl with 4 channel receiver
Hitec 225 mini servo
(2) Hitec 7980 Monster Torque Servos
Mamba Max Pro esc
Castle BEC Pro (the one with 2 receiver plugs)

So I left one of the bec plugs loose because there are 5 channels on the reciever including the Bind channel.

I desperately need some answers A.S.A.P!!!

BTW This will be to get Game Changer to Axialfest.

Sounds like the EPA's are not set correctly and you're overdrawing the servo. This causes it to get hot & fry.
Set your EPA just short of where the trans htis a mechanical limit.

I've done that each time but it still keeps frying.

Voltage? If you are running 2x 7980 each one should be tagged into its own BEC plug. Then use the MMP to power the RX and 225.

Sounds like a simple enough fix and is probably my problem. But could you explain exactly what you mean by tagging each servo into its own BEC plug?
Thanks!

Use one plug off the BEC Pro to each 7980. That way each servo has 10 amps available.

Post #122 top pic....... Run steering servos like that, don't pull red wire from esc.

Definitive wiring diagrams for BECs Rx Servos Motors etc.

Run smaller servo directly to rx.

Personally I don't run the pro I use just the 10 amp bec and run one to each steering / winch servo.

Also never had good results for running a 225 on my dig for comps. Just didn't have enough balls so I moved up to a 5645 for more power but obviously took up more space.

Just got it all hooked up with only the yellow wire from the 7980's going to the reciever and the power wires directly soldered to the bec pro.

BUT my rear steer servo glitches often and doesnt follow directions! Also I noticed my front 7980 got VERY hot, too hot to touch! So whats the deal with that?

Well more than likely you stalled the servos. What's the voltage you are running and have you checked actual voltage from bec wire? Also your steering geometry may be poor creating the servo to work really hard to move the wheels.

Not sure about the rear glitch. Does rx flicker when it glitches ? And can't be any help on the pro due to I don't use them. I only use the single 10 amp per servo.

You need to turn on the overload protection and set @ 10% also if you have overheating issues.

I've got it set to 7 volts. The geometry is all good, need to check the actual voltage. I'll check the rx. May have already fried one of the 7980's though
