Default Would a brushless motor need to be waterproofed?

I have read on here and other places that a brushed motor does not particularly need to be waterproofed, it just needs to be cleaned out well at the end of the day and I was sort of wondering if my brushless would be the same or if I would need to waterproof it? I am going to buy an SCX10 Rubicon kit and I have a SpinSuper ESC from LRP and a DTX 2250Kv Brushless sensored motor that I could use. Or would it just be better to get a brushed system? The sensored system worked alright in my Twin Hammers but it is not waterproofed supposedly. The LRP says 'Splashproof'.
