Default Mamba micro throttle issue

Hi, I have set up a mamba micro with Novak brushed 55 motor. I calibrated the esc with my flysky g3c.
When I pull the throttle the led turns green but the motor doesn't move until the trigger is half way. In reverse the led turns red and the motor runs right thru the range. What am I doing wrong. All the EPA and trims are set to default. Anyone experienced this?
Prem.

It sounds like you might have the expo setting adjusted on your radio. A setting of "0" will give a linear throttle response.

Thanks I checked all that. I found the problem. I bought this esc second hand and the guy before me set it up with a very sharp throttle curve. With the castle link I made it linear. So it was the esc programing. I do recommend that no one should own a castle esc without the link. It is amazing.

I've got the sidewinder micros on my xr10 with 35t motors and the forward response is fine and dandy but reverse is super glitchy and weak. I have the program link and just wondering if anyone has experienced this

Did you check the throttle curve for the reverse.

+1.

Also, did you buy "2 motors", or did you buy "matched MOA motors"? If matched, you may have them on the wrong end of the rig. They usually have a little advanced timing used for going forward, thus they are a little retarded in reverse.
If you installed on the wrong end of the rig, they are now retarded in forward (slower) and advanced in reverse (faster).

A matched set of MOA motors from Holmes or Br00d will be marked for front & rear.

Yep. Exponential settings can usually be adjusted on both the transmitter and ESC.
