Send back to hitec...... Either bad bearing (blown out), pin had wollowed on case top, or pot is bad. Servo can not find exact center.

There can be a possibility that the BEC for some reason put out voltage that was over the internal IC`s tolerance level. That might have killed the IC and hence its not able to process.

If you are able to move the servo to any side of its limit then it is a pot problem. If you are not at all able to move the servo what so ever you do, then the IC or some internal electronics has gone bad.

Without watching the video, I was thinking, "Digital servo neutral twitch", after seeing the video, yes, the servo has issues.

Send it back to HiTec, while it may cost a few dollars, they have treated many on here rather well.

With the servo off, check to see how much rotational slop the output shaft and servo horn has, and also how much in/out play it has. The in/out play would be a sign of worn output shaft bearings, the rotational slop would be worn gears, or the bushings that hold the pins in place are egged out.

Both of those cases, you may as well send it in to Hitec. If the output shaft is tight, then you might have a dirty potentiometer inside the servo. If your handy you can dissasemble the servo and flush out the potentiometer with some plastic-safe electronics cleaner.

I've had a couple of 7954's that had dirty potentiometers, caused by water intrusion during submerged usage. Flushing the potentiometers out with electronics cleaner saved them both. I had the same thing happen to a Savox 1268, and it too was saved by flushing out the potentiometer.

Well there is no slop in the servo that I can feel... And to flush the POT hue would I do so? I have torn apart servos before to either make them into servo winches or just cause the gears stripped and wanted to know what gear stripped

The noise at center is normal for a coreless digital servo, the noise from when you are all the way left or right is you are hitting a mechanical stop in your steering, turn down your end points a little. Those were the only noises I heard after I turned my volume up.

jimdabomb, I don't know what's up with yours, but I would be in contact with HiTec about it, with a link to your video.
