Default Castle link help!

How do I get the castle link to recognize the cc bec? I read the FAQ about what to find in my device manager to enable the driver but what the faq is asking for is not in the list.

Make sure you aren't pluging it in backward, I have done that a few times with MMP and Sidewinder

Dumb question, but did you download the Castle Link software?

Did you run the software as administrator?

I wasn't given the option to run the program as an admin. I am running windows 8. Does that make a difference?

Not sure, Win 7 here, but you should be able to program a cc bec without even putting in your rig. Do you have the latest version of the software?

I guess it does not matter if Win 8 is the issue.

You can buy a CC bec and have it set at what you want from almost any hobby anywhere, it does not even have to be hooked up to your rig.

I had the hobby shop program the bec. I installed it a month ago and the bec fried the throttle band on my receiver. I now have my receiver warrantied thru axial. I would like to run the bec BUT first make the settings right through the castle link.

I cannot get the castle link to work on my laptop.

I tried every port.

Just to clarify. I have downloaded the castle link software. I plug everything in and the USB connection status stays RED. (Green means connected)

I follow the tips and suggestions under "connect device to castle link" and that's where I run into this driver problem.

I don't believe I am the only one having these problems.

I am ready to return these products at this point.

If the BEC is soldered to the battery connector or ESC posts (basically if attached to ESC through the battery wires) then make sure the ESC is off. Otherwise it will not recognize it. I had this problem until I turned off the ESC
