Default I think I ordered the wrong item - Castle Link

I ordered this:

http://is.gd/UrEwd1 - Link to the item I bought.

The castle website does not show the item number PHXLINK that the C*K*R*C website shows. Obviously I need the Castle Link USB programmer. Is it the one? Thanks for the help peeps.

The one you linked looks different than my Castle link. The one you posted has 3 wires coming out of it, whereas my Castle link has 3 pins. I think this is the older castle link that you posted, i would suggest buying the new Castle link with 3 pins.

Castle Creations | Castle Link USB Programming Kit

See how this one has 3 pins so you can plug the servo lead from your ESC or BEC into the link? The one you linked has servo wires coming off of it, not 3 pins

I have the older one that has the 3 wires coming off of it. Works great with my CC 10A BEC's.

I would shoot an email to the vendor whose name must not be spoken (or typed) and ask them if the picture and description is correct.

The PHX-LINK is the predecessor to the Castle Link. If you really do receive a PHX-LINK return it.

That is what I was worried about. Why would they be selling and old version? Is it really old? Oh BTW I'm going to use it for a CC Bec and and Sidewinder V3. Damn!

I'll wager 5 rusty SCX10 axle bearings from Axialfest that it's just an old image on their website.

I just recently ran into an issue using an older Phoenix link vs a newer castle link. The driver for my laptop (using windows would not recognize the older pl. I did end up having to buy a castle link. Hopefully this is not the case for you but if the packaging that it comes in reads " good for windows 98se 98me 2000 etc" and you are on a newer system you will more than likely run into the same issue I had. Easily solved if you have an older computer in the closet or are willing to go to the public library and find an older computer there
