| Looking for Amp data - Novak's rock star 55t
Searched everywhere....unable to reach customer support at Novak. I am looking for an amp draw rating or amperage data for the above motor. I understand a lot of factors play into this but I need to know what the capabilities are on this motor. Any help would be wonderful |

A 55t shouldn't pull very much power.....why do you need to know?

There is no answer for this really, as amp draw depends on the load placed on the motor. I can tell you at 3 volts, they pull less than an amp of power with no load... Curious, what do you need to know the amp load for? Later EddieO |

I want to run my crawler of solar panels. KIDDING! I suppose i dont NEED to know, I guess I simply need to know if I can run it with a sidewinder micro on a 6 LB shafty with a 66+ final drive ratio. I hope it will be MUCH lighter soon. This information will drive the batteries I purchase for it as well. Sorry if I was misleading in the beginning, but I was fairly certain we had folks out there who have experimented with motors and had some AMP data on them. |

While we have data, its impossible to have all the data with all the variables. I gave you what they draw at no load for 3 volts. Gearing, weight, tire size, drive train, etc all contribute to the amp load the motor will produce. Reduce load, amp draw will go down..... A micro handles a 35t pretty well.....a 55t should be no problem. Most car speed controls are rated for the turns they can handle instead of amp load, as its simply not easy to figure it out. In a truck of that size though, I don't see the benefit of trying to use the uber small ESC other than cost. I would spend a few more dollars and get a normal sidewinder or FXR from tekin. That 55t is gonna be a dog in that truck though, a 35t would be a better choice..... In the future, I think the easier question to ask would be "Will this work with X". Later EddieO |
