I Belive the novak is only a 5 amp bec. The cc is a 10 amp. For the 2 more $$ I'd just get a proven winner CC I'm not sure on how many amps are really needed but more can't hurt! |

just get the castle, Its fully adjustable with the castle link which you will need to be able to adjust output voltage, They are preset for 5volts i think, I bumped mine up to 6.5 with the Castle USB link and now I have GOBS of torque from my JR z9100T steering servo!! Also I'm not sure if the Novak is capable of input voltage of greater than 8.4 volts. The castle is unlimited I think.

Good info ... Thanks. The only reason I haven't already picked up a CC BEC is because of all the posts of problems with these units that come up when doing a search....though most of them seem to be user error.. Nothing comes up on the Novak BEC....good or bad.... no real info from my search, maybe I missed something... |

Keep in mind people usually only post when something is wrong. Most people don't make a post saying"Hey I picked up a cc bec today. Works great" lol From what I've seen and heard and experianced. The cc bec is a great product. And cc customer support is top notch. I have no experiance with the novak though so I can't comment on their reputation except for good cs on previous products. |

I have sold thousands of the CC bec and only had a few that were bad. 5 or so, and one was mine that burned up.
