I've waterproofed a few ESC's with dielectric grease, ranging from a Duratrax Streak, to a Mamba Max Pro, and the theory is always the same:

Remove the circuit boards from the plastic case and make sure you have both sides of the entire circuit board coated with grease and no air bubbles. Some ESC's have two layers of boards and it can be a real PIA to get the grease all the way between the boards.

It's kinda messy. I tend to use enough grease that it will ooze out of the holes when the case halves are reassembled. Remember, if it's full of grease, then water can't get in.

If your ESC has a switch, do yourself a favor and just solder the wires together. Any switch will inevitably develop problems down the road once it's been dunked, and run in sand or mud.
