More info would help but I assume you are talking about msc-25 esc? If so it has no Lipo cut off according to hpi who makes it. Its input voltage is 6 volt to 8.4 volt limiting you to 2s Lipo.... An external Lipo cut off is needed...... Bec is 1 amp.... And limited to 14 t motor.... It's got forward, reverse and a crawler brake option. Not sure how any of it works for programing but this is my ten min google search came up with. Sounds like just a cheap old reversing esc that was based on nimh with a hold option added to it. So basically its an esc for sure.... Just not a good one.
