| Comm lathe Hi, what type of diamond bit can I use on a Hudy (Hudy Executive Automatic - BBG) comm lathe? This: ******************** HUDY ******************** Does a Integy diamond bit could work? The 5101, for example. The Hudy ones are too expensive. |

Not sure how you cutter is held in on the hudy lathe. I'm sure Eddie will chime in cause this is his area of expertness! Lol. I would jump on a limb and say diamond over carbide.... And if holder is same then any bit would work. To me integy really makes junk in aftermarket parts..... As for lathes and cutting coms really, to me; is all they are known for.....

Not sure which it uses.....they were pretty uncommon units. I don't even know where mine is. I do remember these didn't take well to other bits, so probably best to find a hudy bit for it. Later EddieO |

When I had my hudy I just took the hudy supplied bit down to a local industrial supplier and they were able to match it up perfectly. That would be my suggestion and if memory serves me it was 1/4 of the price that hudy wanted.
