Default converted twin hammers to brxl, 3rd channel don't work. 4pl

I Put a brxl and hh 27 in my Twin hammers... if I plug in the battery with shift servo in channel 3 unplugged, runs and drives fine. If I plug in channel 3 and try to drive it. the motor won't run at all. Disconnect channel 3 while still on and then it drives fine again, plug it in while working and doesn't move again. What could be the issue? Also tried the shift servo programmed to channel 4 on the receiver and same thing happens.. I'm losttt !

Does the shift servo have it's own power supply? Like, from a BEC or separate battery?

Maybe the shift servo has failed and has a short in it, causing the receiver to shut down whenever you plug in the shift servo.
Does the steering also stop working when you plug in the shift servo?

When I switched things out, mine would not run unless I powered the steer servo directly w a bec, and ran shift servo off rx powered by esc bec.

I did not run bec to rx, only servo, servo signal to rx
