| remote on/off switch help
so a while back, on another forum, I saw a thread on how to make a remote on/off switch with an old servo board. I tried it out with my light kit. 8 white 5mm, 2 red 5mm, and 2 yellow 3mm lights with an 9v battery. I am using an old axial as-2 servo board, and a Fs-gt3b. I knew that the receiver can't have 2 power supplies, so I am only connecting the control wire to the reciver. The lights will be on, but they won't turn off with the button on the transmitter. Is there a setting that needs to be changed on the remote? If any of you guys can help that would be awesome! Last edited by mitchr97; 07-11-2013 at 11:33 AM. |

yup, that is what the servo board is for. The guy that made it did't have an external batt for the lights though I don't think.

| Re: remote on/off switch help Found a use for a crappy servo - RC-Monster Forums I wonder if I should connect the battery to the red and black wires that go to the rx on the servo board, and just connect the white wire to the rx? |

You don't need a 3 position switch. Like Crawlhog mentioned, get with Heyok and get one of his switches. Can't go wrong for the money.

| Re: remote on/off switch help Alright, I'm tired of this... I'm not an electronics guy, and I'm only 15. The only electronic think that a know a reasonable amout about is the motor. and as you saw in my other question thread, there wasn't anything wrong with my motor, it was the esc. I talked to Heyok and he told me that I was running too much voltage through the board, and ended up fixing it. Instead of calling me stupid you could have helped me or said nothing at all, thank you very much.
