Default hh 454 colbalt puller question

i have 1 of these motors and it has never really worked right. i cant spin it by hand and when i have had it hooked up it will not spin at all it will hum and move i bit but thats it. once that frist move happens it does nothing else? my question is would buying a new 11t amrature and brushes/springs be worth it on this motor? i want to put it in a 7-8 tube buggy running 2s in a r2d transmission. or should i buy a new 28turn holmes armture to put in a spare can i have? budget is tight is the reason for only these option. not looking for rock racer speeds i was more than happy with my 35turn cheapy motor but it has died. oh running this through a xl5 with a cc bec and airtronics servo @200oz

thanks

Have you talked to John about having it rebuilt/looked over?
