| Ordered a FlySky T6 6Ch Tx/RX for $50 with the aim to mod it for crawling
6ch and 9ch Stick-Transmitter+receiver combo's are dirt cheap nowadays, so I figured I'd get this one and see if I can make it useful for crawling. As I understand it, as it is a transmitter aimed at Gliders/Helis/Airplanes it won't have throttle-stick centering, so I'm going to have to add a spring to return the throttle-stick to center. Does anybody else have experience/tips in modding an airplane transmitter for crawler use ? |

did you want a stick radio? flysky makes the gt3b and gt3c that are both cheaper than that one, and can be hacked to be 8 channel.

But the GT3B is a good tip for anyone looking for a multi-channel transmitter! | |

I just got rid of my dx6i because I was tired of the sticks. my gt3c should be in my mailbox today when I get home.

Another nice thing is that the receiver shipped with the T6 is specced to work up to 8.4v, meaning you can hook it up straight to a 2S Lipo together with a high voltage servo without the need for a bec. I know some people ran the receiver that comes with the GT3B successfully on 7.4v, but I think official specs > claims ;) |

Dual sticks are great for 4WS rigs, right stick for front steering as usual and left stick for rear I don't know that radio, but if you can't find the extra parts needed to spring load the throttle, you could swap the parts from the right stick to the left and keep the right as non return to center. |
