Default Savox Servo

I just installed a Savox SC-1258TG and anytime I turn my SCX10 on it makes a bunch of noise likes its hunting for some area of the gear. I have the stock ESC and remote and I also run Lipo batteries and a glitch buster. any ideas as to what is going on here? I have a castle link card to hook up to my pc if needed but I have no Idea as to what to look for.

Savox servos tend to be noisy, both of mine are. Now is it just noisy or is it twitching?

I have the hobbico cs170 and it makes noise too, super strong servo but makes tons of noise when the wheels arent straight, get the radio wheel a little turn, should stop it! Digital servos just make noise, their are some even higher end digitals that are quiet

They make noise because there trying to find center. It's a digital thing.

No worries.

I have a buddy who runs savox servos as well. They're noisier than my hitecs and futabas. Almost to the point where you would think somthings not right. He has savox servos in a few rigs, they're all noisy but have been goin strong for some time now. As long as you're sending it the right voltage and your steering isn't binding I'd say you're fine.

if possible please post a video of the servo in working.

There can be two types of noise
1] Humming noise which comes from the digital circuitry.
2]Gear meshing noise.

Savox servos are loud due to the high resolution of 4096. This is the servo trying to find a pin point center and area of movement. It's normal for the savox to buzz and be loud.

If you're not running a BEC you may find issues with the Savox/CASTLE combo. I know I have found that to be true on more than one occasion

Amazon carries the Savox SC-1258TG for about 68 bucks. Does that sound about right? I toasted the gears in my stock servo and need an upgrade. Being new to the site, I'm still looking for servo info.
