you don't need much.
I've been running a Traxxas servo for a long time now.

I too am using a traxxas 2080 micro servo and so far, its working well. We'll see. they arent the greatest servo in the world but then again, it wont see as much action as when it was a steering servo.

I am using it on a wraith mechanical dig

Using a Hitec 225 mini metal gear bb servo at 66.7 oz-in @ 6v with my VP Hurtz dig with no problems for about 4 years.

I am using a Hitec HS-645MG with the Axial Dig in my Wraith. The Axial Dig has a really small range of motion so it is critical to set the end point adjustments on the radio correctly. Otherwise you will end up going through a lot servos.

I'm using a Hitec HS5685MH in my Wraith with Axial dig and in the Dingo with Hurst dig.

HS645MG is a good servo for dig and are pretty cheap. I've been using mine with the same servo since 08'.

A Futaba S3003 with plastic gears. I think its max @6V its 57 oz.

I use this

JR Radios

with my VP Hurtz dig in my SCX-10. Using an OverkillRC-hacked GT3B. 51 oz/in @ 6V. So far, no issues at all.

My used Losi Comp Crawler came with an HS85MG micro and still works fine.
