3s battery for phone charger

Anybody see anything wrong soldering a cig lighter receptacle to a battery end so you can plug in the car phone charger?? Going on an overnight fishing trip tonight and thought it may be a neat "ext battery". Last time my phone went dead halfway through. Most cars are 12-14v anyways. 1hr charging on a 4200mag battery shouldn't drain it much I wouldn't think. Any input. Besides telling me to charge the phone before I go lol.

I would just go buy a USB battery pack.

Just using what I got. It's free

It shouldn't be any issue but if you have an external lvc I would throw it on as well.

I got one. Maybe it'll turn into a trail fad

As stated, the LVC is a good idea. I've used one for a similar task before (GoPro battery) and didn't have any issues. I didn't use a LVC because it was a Mcgyver moment and I wasn't exactly "planning" on doing this.

Hey it works! Only used it for about an hour. Took hardly any power from the lipo.
