Is Dual Rate of any importance to a winch?

I have a Gt3C remote and the hack kit which I plan to install tomorrow morning sometime so I can finally get around to finishing up my jk kit. I was trying to figure out which button to use for my third channel, since the default third channel is only a 2 position, and it seems like the Dual Rate and Trim for channel three are three position. I can see trim being useful, but not sure if dual rate is important enough that I can't sacrifice it.

Unless someone has a better idea? I have the non-wireless bulldog winch from RC4wd.

I've used the D/R switch to run a winch, but mostly I use the trim buttons for steering and throttle as I run two winches. The two trim buttons on the left work the rear winch and the two trim buttons on the right work the front winch. You can always adjust the trim through the menu, so don't worry about using the buttons for other things!

Heh, thanks. I just didn't want to use a switch I may need to use more than once in a great while for my winch. I'm almost finally done with my jk so I am eager to get it all set up. I think the D/R switch will work fine, then, as my main winch control. Not that I really need a winch but dang it, it looks awesome with one :)
