| Stuck on brushless, what do you think?
Here is what I am ready to get. Mamba Max Pro and Novak Ballistic 21.5T Crawler Brushless Motor? I know a lot of you are using brushed but, I want to stick with brushless. This is for the RC4WD TF2. Anyone using this setup? Thanks!!!

For a TF2 that will probably work well. You could also look at a tekin roc412 in the 1800-2400kv range. 4 pole and gobs of torque in a better brushless motor built for crawling.

I've got a Ballistic 21.5 Crawler. I find it a little coggy. A little surprising I thought. Good motor otherwise.

Thanks for the reply everyone... Does anyone know if the Tekin motor will come with the sensor wire? New Tekin ROC412 BL Crawler Motor 4Y 1200KV TT2603 | eBay Should I use the CC BEC with the Mamba Pro? I will be using a 3s lipo.

I'm running an mmp with a Novak 17.5 on 3s. It's a decent setup, Novak motors are a different story compared to their esc's.

The motor comes with the wire. Its a bit stiff though, so I always replace them with a better more flexable sensor wire that's less prone to break. I have a Tekin and a Novak motor and would take the Tekin over the Novak any day. It has more torque and is a much smoother motor.

MMP,tekin pro 4 3300kv on 3s is what I use in my scaler and MMP,pro 4 4600kv on 3s in my bouncer love how much torque they make and very smooth for a brushless set up. MMP will not run a descent servo so you need a external BEC |

I have the Protek wire. Have a 1 as a back up and have never needed it. The 1 it comes with is rather stiff line the Novak wires are. The wire doesn't break, but it comes out of the pins in the plug. Never have had a problem with Protek yet, and had to replace the Tekin 1 twice.

I've had good luck with my Novak motors. I have a 13.5 non crawler in my wraith with no issues, a 17.5 non crawler in my losi, and a 21.5 crawler in my high lift. They actually work quite well. I'm running mmps in the wraith and losi, and a vxl in the high lift all sensored with great results. Good luck |

Awesome!!! Thanks for all the help everyone. Bought the MMP and Novak sensored crawler 18.5 motor. Hobby store did not have the Tekin motor. Will see how the Novak does for now and can change it later if necessary... The Novak is silver with a purple ring and the model# is 3419. Is this a 4 pole motor? Have done research and cant find anything on the poles in the specs except for it being multi pole....

be careful, novak motors are known for burning up the sensor boards in castle escs

That's an ss motor. Very slow with fixed end bell timing. It's a 2 pole Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk 4 |
