Issues linking 4PLS to receiver

I recently purchased a wraith kit and some new electronics
Transmitter is a Futaba 4PLS
Receiver Futaba r304SB T-FHSS
Servo Hi Tech HS-7955TG
ESC Castle Creations Mamba Max Pro
CC 10a BEC
I have been out of the hobby for many years and I read the manual to link and am not even getting a led

I was going to run a brushed 55t motor for the first few runs for two reason one to get used to the chassis of the car and second I have a Tekin Pro4 Brushless but I am waiting for my built trans to arrive from www.supershafty.com.

I have a CC BEC wired from pos and neg battery terminals and plugged into the CH 4 spot on receiver. I have the servo plugged into channel one and ESC with red wire removed plugged into channel 2

I get no LED lights whatsoever. But if I unplug everything but BEC I get a flashing red led

Also I was wondering if I can us the castle creation link card to program ESC with the red wire cut on the ESC wiring.

I'm sure this is a very easy fix but I just can't seem to find it. Thank you in advance for any help
