Default MMP / Tekin ROC 412 settings?

I was wondering what settings people are running in their rigs.

Axial Wraith (9 lbs)
3S Lipo
11/54 pinion/spur
HD stock front, HD UD rear

I am running 10 deg timing in "smart" mode. Thinking about switching to "sensor only" and running 0 deg with CHEAT set to 10 deg. What do you guys think? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I run everything in stock form. Just bump up the Lipo cut off to 3.3v per cell, 75% throttle F&R, 15% drag brake, and crawler reverse unless your using it for bashing, and I always run sensored only with a sensored motor. I never mess with brake and throttle curves either. I'm just not that in to it. The motor in stock form will give you more torque and more speed than you'll really need. See how you like it then play with it and make changes as you see fit.

Why do you want to advance the timing? Not necessary for crawling, there would not be any advantage for advanced speed or punch...

Unless you are trying to jump a rock or two...

Even at that he could just mess with the punch control and leave the timing alone.

If you set the RPM for CHEAT high enough it shouldn't kick in when crawling and should help top speed. Also I have the timing at 10 deg because its the default for the MMP.

Just wondering if my thinking is way off.

The ROC motors are 4 pole motor, they do not handle advance timing very well.

There is a thread about them (somewhere, I am on my phone or I'd post the link). There is a discussion about just that thing with ESC set ups and input from Tekin.

Good point! Maybe Ill drop the timing to 0 and leave CHEAT off for now. If you could find that threat I would greatly appreciate it. I have been looking and found no solid info yet.

That thinking is NOT way off, its just for a 2 pole motor. I run my 2 pole like that in my LCC. Slow crawl is great, and really opens it up at the top end. It would really work well in the Wraith on a 2 pole motor. Just watch heat, you will be in the upper register more than I am with a comp crawler.
