Default Overheating problem

My r2d is so hot I can't touch it. Haven't had a thermal shutdowns but I can't touch the motor tranny or skid.
My setup
Sv2. CC bec@6v
19t turn integy
Airtronics servo
R2d with 13tooth pinion

I'm thinking the motor is just to fast for the tranny. But idk going to a Hh 27turn soon but need this to last atleast 2 months had a 10tooth on and it was way way slower. No wheelspeed. I'm may try a 11tooth. Anyone got a suggestion.

I'm real happy with my wheelspeed my torque could be better. I'm just stuck on what to try

If there is no binding in the drivetrain & the pinion/spur mesh is correct, then you're overgeared. Go to a smaller pinion.

Or take off the body and go faster!!!!! Lol jk yes u are definitely over geared for your driving style, terrain, and power source thus causing excessive heat.

Btw 19t is pretty hot for even a trail rig. I had a Holmes 16t and that was just ridiculous...went back to a Holmes 35t...the torque and punch make up for top speed. 35t on 3s or 4s is ideal with proper gearing for both.

Yes I agree 19turn is way fast a 35turn on 3s is perfect.....with a axial granny with the lower geared r2d it was just to slow. I'm not racer just want my wheelspeed.I'm gonna try a 11tooth if that's no good a axial tranny will be next. Thanks for insight
