Default overheating esc

Ok guys I need some help with this I just bought a team tekin combo pack for my Wraith im running a fxr esc with a 35t pro motor on a 2s 5000mah lipo gearing is 87 spur 11 pin no dig unit no drive train upgrades savox single steer servo the prob im running into is after about 15-35 mins of run time (easy low speed crawling on the living room carpet) everytime i make a hard left turn the system gliches. Stutters, stops, shuts down, restarts. But only on a left turn havent noticed it on a right turn. motor and esc are installed correctly, cap is soldered in though there is no BEC installed, i have an extra one so if thats what i need then thats not a problem. Ive looked on the tekin website to see if they recomend a BEC but am unable to find anything on it. What do you think BEC or factory screwed up combo?

Savox servos like to rape a lot of power, with that anything I run I use a external 10 amp bec. Sounds like the glitch part is your lack of a bec.

+1.

Check steering EPA's, you may be overdriving the servo in one direction, the stalled servo pulls a lot of amps.

Since you're running 2S, you can power the servo direct off of battery power.

How would I check the steering EPA's and wire the servo directly to the battery? And right now I'm out of town for work but when I get home I'm gonna install the bec I have and see if that helps BTW the radio system I'm running is a spektrum dx3c

EPA's are "end point adjustments" in the TX. You want the radio to stop sending a signal just before the steering binds. Not sure how you set it in your radio, but it shouldn't be hard.

As to "wired direct", several ways, but basic is:
Red wire from batt/ESC connection to red wire on servo
Black wire from batt/ESC connection to black wire on servo

Some solder them together (cut off the wires at the RX plug), others use a servo wire extender and splice that in.
It would likely pay to maintain the ground from the servo to the RX. Especially on Spektrum radios.

I used an extension to make a harness. was a 12" extension. cut it 3" from each plug. connected the 2 control wire between the plugs. dabbed liquid tape on the power leads coming from the RX plug. wire the power leads from the servo plug into the 6" left over then connected them directly to the battery leads coming from my esc. ended up cutting about 3" off cause there was to much extra wire. little bit of liquid tape on the connections. wrapped that in some electrical tape then coated that in more liquid tape (was my first harness and non soldered so I was trying to make sure it was sturdy enough to be pulled at.

no problems yet. the cheap solar servo still going strong.
