Thumbs up "Axle Snapper" from B&B Motors

I bought a couple of these off eBay and put them in my clod based crawler. They work really good. Loooong run times too. I used the stock 13t pinion and 6 cells. They have plenty of torque to crawl anything I've found. They seemed to be a tad slower than an Integy 55t lathe but since I'm crawling and not racing, the speed issue isn't a big deal. The power, runtime and cost more than makes up for it.

Cool.

You can buy those Johnson long can motors for about $5 without the fancy inkjet label.

Whats the deal with a join Date of Dec. 2005 and this is your first post?
I'd call spam alert, but thats a long time to wait to start pimping product.

Wot, no link?

Seriously though, Integy seems to hold the market for crawler motors (apart from brushless) and I'd like to find an alternative.

Cheers 8-)

I'd suggest the Axiom lathe motor. They have a much smoother throttle response than the Integy and are only a few dollars more. We have them in stock if you're interested. Everyone that I know of that has tried them likes them better than the Integy.

I have the same type motors that are "axle Snappers", but without the cool labeling. I do like the stickers that B&B slapped on though, pretty nifty.

Shameless plug...

And over 1600 pms in the same time span. I like discussing electrics and the application of individial products in the power system.

Up the cells. I believe the things are really designed for a minimum of 12 volts no matter what they claim.

Even adding 1 cell w/ help! I use 7 cells when using my MOPED ESC and it is much better than 6 cells.

The Motors are actually 24 volt jobbers. They work nicely on 12 volts in a crawler.

12 volts? No problem, it just means I'll have to scrape the melted mess of the MOPED from my chassis...

Cheers 8-)
