| Led light kit won't stop flashing
So I don't want to hook up my GT power led light kit to my receiver and use Y leads like it says in the instructions so I hooked it upto a 6v hump pack and any led I connect up just will not illuminate constantly they all flash instead. Is this down to voltage or to the fact I should wire it upto the receiver? Didn't really want to do this as I prefer the cleaner look of a stand along system hidden away with its own battery Thanks |

most likely because its not seeing a signal from the rx. this set up is designed to be inline not only getting power from the rx but also a signal voltage too.

Did you happen to buy the "flashing" light kit?

I beleive that the module detects certain power... So if you not giving it the right amount of power it will detect like its in low power mode... So it will flash...

just the headlights flash in the gt power kit. they blink at the same rate too, which sucks because I bought them hoping for alternating flash for wig wags.

Haha no it's not the flashing light kit but how it is setup/working at the moment it's perfect for a drift car! Anyone know what voltage is needed to stop them flashing? Will have to just run it inline from the receiver then and see what happens!

I would venture a guess at pos 5v for the lights to shine as if you are going forward and neg 5v to shine the brake and rev lights like for reverse on the signal lead.

What kit did you buy? Ones I've seen also have switches on controller to make them flash by switching switches. And the rx runs on about 6 volt so your pack is sufficient. Souldnt flash on low volt. | |
