| Novak Rooster Crawler.. Need Help!
Motor is running even if the esc is off. What could be the problem? Defective ESC or motor?

Is esc actually off? Just constant speed when turned off? Does it turn off the rx when switched off? I would say in plug battery.... Lol I burn all my switch wires together and don't use the switch. |

Well Its NOT going to be a defective motor.... What were the circumstances leading up to to the issue? Has it been wet? If the motor is running when the ESC is switched off it sounds to me that the ESC is the problem.... If you can test the ESC with a different receiver and re-calibrate it it may help to narrow down the issue but dont be surprised if its new ESC time. |

If you have just the motor connected to the esc and receiver wire disconnected from receiver and plug a battery into the esc with it switched off does the motor run? If this is the case the esc must be at fault. |

The esc should not command the motor to run without a signal from the receiver let alone with the power switch in the off position.... I vote for faulty esc and if it is new you should take it back to where you bought it. |

Is the TX on or off? If it's on, then check your TX trims & recalibrate the ESC to the RX. If the TX is off, STOP IT! The TX should turn on 1st, RX 2nd. To turn off, RX off 1st, TX off 2nd. Some radios & ESC's have a "fail safe" mode where it goes full brake or reverse when it loses a radio signal. |
