Default So I think my servo may be going out.

I have noticed as of late that my Hitech 7955 thats on my Berg comp rig has been getting hot. As well as getting hot after running it for a while its not as responsive as it should be. When I am in a bind it doesn't want to turn. It's running at 6 volts so I know that's not it. Is this a tell tale sign of a package going to Hitech?
What do y'all think?

Personally I think that's too weak of a servo for a comp rig. I'd say the motor in the servo is on its way out. My suggestion would be to send it in and get it repaired, then sell it and buy a 7950 or a 7980.

+1.

The 7955 is a great servo for a 1.9 comp rig, fun rig or scaler. Not so good for a 2.2 comp rig.

Are you running an external BEC? If not, that may help out some, but the servo sounds like it's getting tired.

Same here, 7950 would be good 7980 would be better. I just put a 7980 on my xr10 in place of my 7950 couple weeks ago and love it!
Only reason I replaced the 7950 is cause I got a smokin deal on a new 7980 that was on sale online...
But either 2 should do you great!
CCBEC is needed of course.
